The products and services offered by Pearlgate Designs represent projects of love. They are all based on the many things I've done over the years for family and friends and they are, I guess, a culmination of my life's work. In 2003, I began a hobby project of creating a family cookbook for my three children, Melanie, Matthew, and Amanda. As they moved out of the nest, they kept asking for some of the recipes for the dishes that we served at family gatherings over the years. After numerous requests, I started to compile these recipes and I created our very first personalized family cookbook. In 2004, Ron and I launched Pearlgate Designs and offered this service to other families who wanted the experience of preserving their family culinary heritage and traditions through their very own personalized family cookbook. Then in March 2006, after much loving support and encouragement from family and friends, Classy Cakes was introduced to Pearlgate Designs and we were thrilled with the immediate response. Baking and decorating cakes is something I have done all my life. As it seemed like a natural fit for our business, I updated my skills by taking various decorating courses and stepped forward in this direction. And, as I've dabbled in Christmas arts and crafts for years, we added our Christmas craft items to our business line as well! So you, our customers and friends, can now see where we've come from and hopefully you'll all be there as we journey forward.
